Showstopper - "Where in the World is Tumbleweed?"
Send your mascot out into the community each weekend armed with team identified merchandise. Have your fans register online for a "Spot Tumbleweed" form so that when they spot Tumbleweed, they present their "Spot Tumbleweed" form, get a free t-shirt, coloring book, hat, etc. Each time the fan spots Tumbleweed, he/she is entered into a grand-prize drawing for an item donated by a sponsor ($1,000 grocery gift card, exotic trip, car, etc.) - limit one entry per day. The contributing sponsors will receive free ad space or Jumbo-trom mentions. Each weekend through out the season, Tumbleweed will appear at Blood Drives, Pep Rallies, Grand Openings, Charity Events, Sponsor Appearances, etc. and clues can be given out over a sponsor's radio station or newspaper. Have fans tune into the station at the same time each day for the clue or read the daily paper in a certain section. Fans will have a ball trying to locate Tumbleweed each weekend and your sponsors will be happy with additional listeners/readers and recognition. Not only will you bring great attention to your mascot and your sponsors, you will generate a database of fans, who have registered on the site, to send special promotions and discounts.
